The Norwegian pop singer and songwriter Emila, got in touch with the record label, Layman Music, in the fall of 2013. For the past couple of months her time has solely been devoted to moulding and perfecting her image and sound. Emila was born and raised in a musical environment in Lillestrøm. Since childhood music has been Emilia’s number one passion and she attended choir rehearsals from the young age of three. Her parents couldn’t distract Emila’s attention away from singing and so her father convinced Emila to learn english (that way, she would sing like a real pop artist). The stubborn 3 year old marched right over to her mother, and demanded english lessons. Ever since then, music has been her main priority. Even though Emila has spent most of her life outside of Oslo, Norway, she is now stationed in the capital city, ready for the road ahead.
